FIELD NOTE 01
Current official Steam status
The official full-game storefront was rechecked on August 26 UTC. It shows Released 25 Aug, 2026, Buy Sludgineers and Add to Cart, alongside a separate Demo download.
That combination passes the LIVE gate. This guide uses Get on Steam as the primary purchase action and does not hard-code the region-specific price shown to the verifier.
FIELD NOTE 02
Why SteamDB may show August 26
The official storefront displays August 25, 2026. SteamDB also exposes technical UTC-side metadata around the release boundary, including a Store Release Date at August 26 00:00 UTC.
These values describe the same release boundary in different date contexts. Public English copy follows the official Steam Store display: Released August 25, 2026.
- Player-facing date: August 25, 2026
- Technical UTC boundary: August 26, 2026
- Current purchase state: live
FIELD NOTE 03
Platforms and current Steam features
The live Steam page lists Windows, macOS and SteamOS/Linux requirements. It also lists Single-player, Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.
The page includes 25 Steam achievements and retains a separate Demo. Linux support and controller metadata are not treated as automatic Steam Deck verification.
FIELD NOTE 04
Release gate evidence
The site moved to LIVE only after the official store exposed a released label and full-game purchase action. The official achievement page and current SteamDB released state corroborate that decision.
Future source failures remain fail-closed in the release probe; they cannot silently revert current public content or promote an unknown state without evidence.
